Descendants of Peter Hibbs Reunion & First Fleeters Tour to Norfolk Island March 2015

Details are now available on First Fleeter Peter Hibbs Descendants reunion and other First Fleeters tour of Norfolk Island to also commemorate the 225th anniversary of the sinking of the HMS Sirius at the Island on March 19 1790. It was on Norfolk Island that Peter Hibbs met and married Lady Juliana Second Fleet convict Mary Pardoe, and where he received a land grant in 1796 – see No.54 at this link.

Peter Hibbs descendant and South Coast Chapter of the Fellowship of First Fleeters member Robyn Stanford is organizing the Peter Hibbs Descendants Reunion in conjunction with the Norfolk Island Travel Centre  – 13 – 20 March 2015 ex Sydney and 14-21 March 2015 ex Brisbane.     Hi my husband descendant is Peter Hibbs, but I thought i read one time you were also related thru the Small family, can you tell me if this is right,I can’t remember the Small names but they were the same as my best friends family. hope to hear from you Barbara Brown

    • hi Barbara, my husband is descended from First Fleet sailor Peter Hibbs’daughter Sarah who married a convict Francis Byrne. I am descended from First Fleet convicts John Small, Mary Parker and James Bradley. So your memory is correct cheers Kerrie Anne Christian
